Summer Archival Diary
Over the summer I started an archival diary to keep track and note of all the major influences upon my practise. I collected variations of symbols and provided detail in their meaning.
< The adjacent symbols are Icelandic Runes and Staves.
I keep this diary now to fill with more detailed research on major concepts I employ in my work, artists/poets/writers/musicians/directors who influence me and my way of producing art works and aesthetics I will use in affect.
Summer Exhibitions
Over the summer, I was really lucky to take part in fantastic two exhibitions. Each was
varied in its subject and intended content, I was able to
MINE Exhibition > Fort Delta
As a part of SIGNAL Curators, I took part in a collaborative exhibition where we invited an artist we wanted to work to produce a work together or individually in regards to the term "Mine" . I was lucky to work with Maddy Young, each of us produced works that emblematic of the concept of "mine".
A Girls Gotta Eat Exhibition > Grace Darling Hotel
As a part of the group show, I was lucky to contribute the work titled "VEN<3" that explored the relationship between body and food.
GREYLANDS 2016
Last year I worked a major project regarding landscape painting, using large scale
canvases and monochromatic shades of acrylic paint. This is one of the most important developmental works I've worked, it was very challenged in its production but all in all created the mood I had intended to make.
